I made the mistake once of using scented detergent in the wash cycle. I tried rehashing, and soaking, in vinegar and did numerous other things to try to get rid of the scent. Couldn’t use the lunchbox for ages. Make sure to use unscented detergent. I always keep a bottle on hand.
